Linda Biggs Fantasy ArtistIt has been a wild Journey so far. Since 2000 when I began Fairie Forest Watercolors I have experienced a so much wonder thru my Art. In the beginning it was about painting pretty Fairy Pictures. Now with each piece I try to dig deeper and step out of my comfort zones. When I painted Lady Bug Koko Komani Spirit She was quite a challenge and is the painting I am most proud of. My hope is to keep learning and growing as the years and paintings go by. This Fairy has had a Faery dream come true. Thank you to all of you who have supported my fairy world.
When the process began my dream was to paint "Fairies". I had no idea what wonderful experiences would lie ahead.
One of the exciting experiences was when I was selected to be in "The Art of Faery" presented by David Riché with the forward by Brian Froud. To be included in this project with so many spectacular Fantasy Artists ( to name a few; David Delamare, Linda Ravenscroft and Amy Brown ) was a dream come true Then to my surprise came along "The World of Faery" also presented by David Riche' with an illustrated foreward by Alan Lee. How COOL is that! i am still pinching myself....
In 2005 My local Baltimore Television Station invited me to visit the station for a 7 minute interview. The interview was with Don Scott and Marty Bass of WJZ - TV It was so fun to open the Morning Show with Fairies! What an exciting and surreal moment for us. Thank you guys I had a ball. (Marty Bass has even named one of my pieces " ForEver" )
I am Native American (Cherokee), very spritual, sensitive and oh yeah...Bi-Polar. But I wouldn't have it any other way...When times are extreme; my creations are at their best. So for that I am grateful and embrace it as a gift.
