Faerie Poppets Figurines
U.K. artist Christine Haworth has created an original and distinctive collection of fairy figurines called "faerie poppets". In addition to the ornate crowns and tiaras that many of them wear, the bases and backgrounds of her faerie poppets are especially detailed and elaborate. Her Faerie poppets are also distinguished by the elegant use of jewel or crystal-encrusted clothing and wings.
Several of her faerie poppets bear the names of precious gems, such as "Sapphire Faerie" and "Ruby Faerie". Flowers are also a recurring them in her faerie poppets, both in subtle and more vivid ways. Examples of faerie poppets surrounded by flowers include figurines entitled, "Among Gold Lillies", "Rosepetal Faeries", and "Fair Foxglove Faerie". "Dawn's Early Dancer", another of her faerie poppets with a floral theme, is gracefully posed on a crystal pond surrounded by water lilies. Water is a theme that you'll see showing up in several of her other faerie poppets. Two mermaid faerie poppets she's created as part of her "Dream Tide" series are named "Sea Blossom" and "Arctic Princess". In "Faerie Cascades", the artist has created two enchanting faerie poppets enjoying a refreshing water falls. Both faerie poppets are wearing delicate, gem-covered dresses, and seem like they could take flight at any moment. Some of her faerie poppet figurines are limited edition works consisting of 7200 hand-numbered pieces. A certificate of authenticity and registration card is included with all limited edition faerie poppets.
